Conventional Wellheads

FMC’s Conventional Wellheads Tested Above & Beyond API

In order to drill at pressures up to 20,000 psi, every wellhead component plays a critical role. FMC’s wellheads are designed and tested not only for a variety of environments, but also for a 20-year design life. With proper maintenance, our wellheads have the potential to retain their original parts with little replacement, even in HP/HT environments.

Conventional wellhead technology has existed since the 1930’s, with FMC’s C-22 bowl design starting the standard system still in use today. Now, FMC wellheads are used both on- and offshore, for the most basic to the most advanced applications.

Hangers, seals (both metallic and non-metallic), and valves used for pressures 2,000 to 20,000 psi are all field-tested and qualified at or beyond API 6A requirements. We test to this level because we want you believe in our products - and trust them to complete your operation.
