Shell Appomattox

Appomattox
Location: With its four column semi-submersible FPS moored in 7,200 feet of water, the Appomattox development is stationed in the Gulf of Mexico Mississippi Canyon block 391 and 392, 80 miles (129 kilometers) from the nearest shoreline in Louisiana in the Mississippi Canyon and Desoto Canyon areas.

The Appomattox development will initially tap into two fields, Appomattox and Vicksburg, with a peak production of roughly 175,000 barrels of oil equivalent per day, on average. Startup is expected to begin in 2020.

The Appomattox development is designed for 20 years of continuous production.
