Condition and Performance Monitoring

Condition and Performance Monitoring

Condition and Performance Monitoring (CPM) is a surveillance system that provides qualified and continuously updated knowledge about a subsea asset’s integrity, 24/7 in real time. This allows the right decisions to be made at the right time.

Designed to maximize production uptime and asset availability across the life of a field, CPM enables early detection and diagnosis, supported by an extensive historical database. This is complemented by an integrated operation platform that allows online collaboration between the FMC Technologies support team and field operators.

CPM makes proactive and condition-based maintenance possible. Advance warning of potential failures offers the potential for increasing equipment efficiency and the ability to perform planned rather than unplanned maintenance. Recognizing and understanding equipment condition based on performance trends will help avoid costly unplanned repairs.

In 2012, our project team successfully implemented the world’s first subsea CPM system at the Gjøa field.
